The aircraft was then transferred to the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Mustang IV with serial number 9289 in February 1951. [4] In February 1951, it went down at Richmond, Virginia, and was badly damaged.

The Galloping Ghost wing does seem to be wider than a normal P-51. The wing is clipped so that might be why it looks wider. I'm not sure if it is wider or looks wider because of it being clipped.
