Web29 Mar 2024 · Simeon Stylites died on September 2, 459 at age 68–69. Stylites passed away in Qalaat Semaan, Byzantine Syria (between Aleppo and Antioch). It is unknown how he died however a disciple found his body stooped over in prayer and was buried not far from the pillar after his funeral.
