We saw the gestational sac and the yolk sac but no fetal pole/embryo. He said I’m probably closer to end of 5 weeks or right at 6 weeks and we’ll do another scan in 2 weeks. Has anyone else experienced this? Webmy message of hope: My initial 8 week scan showed a well developed yolk sac, but no fetal pole. I was told that it was likely a blighted ovum because of the sac size and lack of fetal pole. They scheduled a follow up ultrasound 2 weeks later to verify. Worst 2 weeks of my life. I basically cried every moment that I was alone.
